Our History

Calcutta Musical Depot was founded by Late Kalipada Roy in 1930. What began as a small musical instrument business has grown into an established musical institution serving musicians, music lovers, organizations and customers in India and abroad.

“Music is the strongest form of expression.” This is the belief that has guided Calcutta Musical Depot throughout our journey.

We understand that every musician has individual requirements. Therefore, we strive to provide our clients with musical instruments and services according to their specific needs and expectations. Our long experience in this field has helped us build lasting relationships with thousands of musicians, artists, music organizations and institutions.

Over the years, our journey has connected us with thousands of musicians and distinguished artists, including Late Hemanta Mukhopadhyay, Late A. T. Our Experience

The proprietor of Calcutta Musical Depot is Mr. Kishore Roy, who has more than 50 years of experience in the musical instrument trade. His extensive knowledge of musical instruments and his own understanding of music have contributed significantly to the company’s development.
